  • Tejas fighter plane crashes during Dubai Air Show | Salestors.com

< Back Tejas fighter plane crashes during Dubai Air Show 21 Nov 2025 The pilot sustained fatal injuries, IAF tweeted. The HAL-made aircraft Tejas crashed while performing during the Dubai Air Show around 2:10 pm local time. A day before, the Indian government discarded social media claims of an oil leakage suffered by Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk1 at the Dubai Air Show 2025. Authorities had clarified that the videos trending online showed routine aircraft draining procedures commonly used in humid weather. The liquid being ejected is condensed water, expected to be released from the Environmental Control System (ECS) and the On-Board Oxygen Generating System (OBOGS) as part of standard procedures in humid conditions. Considered a reliable series, this is the second Tejas crash ever. The first was near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on March 12 th , 2024. Shortly after performing in a tri-services exercise to showcase India’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing, the aircraft went down. The pilot had safely ejected. This year’s Show is celebrating host carrier Emirates’ 40 th anniversary. Check out my new book, THE BLACK FLAMES , on Amazon Kindle. A gripping, high-stakes novel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐.6 stars on Amazon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on Goodreads Previous Next

< Back Northeast bound Alliance Air costing ₹6 lakhs per passenger to govt 4 Dec 2023 State-run airline connects India’s smaller towns with Northeastern cities. In April 2022, it carried just three passengers but charged the exchequer a lofty ₹6 crore. Alliance Air deploys Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's (HAL) 15-seater Dornier aircraft. The central government funds flights from smaller towns to northeast cities under the northeastern connectivity scheme. It connects Dibrugarh (Assam) to Ziro, Tezpur, and Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh). Between April 2022 and June 2023, it carried 1500 passengers, costing around ₹100 crore, or ₹6 lakh per passenger to the government. While a burden, the government cannot scrap it as Alliance Air connects crucial northeastern airports near the Chinese border. Moreover, the Dornier aircraft is the first Made in India civilian fleet enjoying the government’s push. Government put up Alliance Air for sale after its parent Air India’s takeover by Tata last year. There were no takers, as investors expected the government to clean up Alliance Air’s ₹4,326 crore debt, as it had done for Air India. The government recently gave ₹600 crore to clear its old debt carried forward from Air India. Previous Next

  • Trump threatens BRICS nations against creating US dollar rival | Salestors.com

< Back Trump threatens BRICS nations against creating US dollar rival 5 Dec 2024 He recently posted that BRICS nations would face 100% sanctions if they tried to develop a currency to rival the US dollar. The US dollar regulates the global economy, dominates trade and oil transactions, and accounts for around 58% of international reserves. For the BRICS nations – Brazil, Russia, India. China and South Africa – creating a new unified currency will be challenging due to the disparity among the five economies. China’s $17.8 trillion economy accounts for 70% of the BRICS GDP combined, while the South African economy is below $500 billion. Strained geopolitical relationships and policies create more hurdles. Hence, they are focusing on de-dollarisation. De-dollarisation aims to reduce the global dependence and vulnerability caused by the USD rather than replace it. The BRICS are boosting the circulation of domestic currencies in worldwide trade. They are encouraging online transactions via indigenous platforms like India’s UPI and China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) as alternatives to SWIFT and the American dollar. They are also shifting their USD reserves to a more balanced currency portfolio. Previous Next

< Back How an ice cream parlour went from US#1 to bankrupt? Ishita Nigam 8 Sept 2023 Oprah called the Ample Hills Creamery one of her favourite things. Disney signed it as its official ice cream brand for Star Wars and Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday. But they made one mistake and went bankrupt in 2020. ‘God Save the Cream’ flavour combining elderflower cake, lemon-ginger ice cream, and buttercream frosting. Mixing pecan pie and Sufganiyah jelly donuts in ‘Thanksgivukkah’. Salted chocolate and brownie-flavoured ‘It Came From Gowanus’ touted as the #1 ice cream in the US by The Food Network.
