< Back Foxconn to start assembling iPads in Tamil Nadu Plant 26 Jul 2024 Its experience assembling iPhones in the Tamil Nadu plant has been encouraging, and now Foxconn plans to use the facility to assemble iPads. Foxconn has already had discussions with the Indian government. They’ve had a good experience so far and will likely double their production in the next few years to expand their portfolio to a few other products. Foxconn is trying to neutralise supply chain risks by relying on production facilities across different regions. Foxconn assembles MacBooks in Vietnam, which logs up to 10% of iPad production globally. Foxconn plans to leverage the production-linked incentives (PLI 2.0) for IT hardware, including tablets, offered by the Indian government. The platform will churn out data about each farm, which can be used by agricultural enterprises offering crop loans, insurances, and subsidies. The base model is ready and Google is encouraging startups and agri enterprises to use the model to build solutions. The Indian government is also planning to advance the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiative covering farmers and their fields for three years and creating digital identities for 11 crore farmers. - India signs first-ever deal with the US to import LPG | Salestors.com
< Back India signs first-ever deal with the US to import LPG 17 Nov 2025 Indian public sector companies signed a one-year contract to import LPG from the US. India’s public sector companies will import 2.2 million tonnes of LPG in 2026, which amounts to around 10% of the country's annual LPG imports. The LPG will be sourced from the US Gulf Coast. The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, called it a ‘Historic first’. Executives from Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum recently travelled to the US to discuss the deal with major American producers. To date, India imports 90% of its LPG from suppliers in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia alone supplies one-third of India’s imports. India occasionally turned to the US due to logistical and pricing reasons, as well as trade dynamics. The Union Minister shared how global LPG prices soared by 60% last year, but Ujjawala scheme beneficiaries paid ₹500–550 per cylinder, against the actual cost of ₹1,100. This deal indicates changing market conditions and strategic trade negotiations with the US. Check out my new book, THE BLACK FLAMES , on Amazon Kindle. < Back Trump-Musk feud: Tesla loses $152 bn, Musk loses $34 bn in a day 6 Jun 2025 Epstein Files: Trump claims he distanced from Jeffrey Epstein when he was arrested again in 2019. Amid the feud with Trump, Musk and Tesla suffered the biggest drop in valuation ever. Tesla shares tanked 14%, wiping out $152 billion from its valuation in a single day. Musk lost $32 billion on the same day. Trump Coin ($TRUMP) dropped by 10.9%, and bitcoin plummeted below $101,000. Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill rescinds the $7,500 federal tax credit given to EVs, which significantly incentivises Tesla buyers. Trump also threatened to axe government contracts with Tesla and SpaceX. Both companies received at least $38 billion in federal subsidies, loans, defence contracts, and tax credits. This disrupted investor sentiment, thus tanking the stock. NASA depends heavily on SpaceX to transport cargo and crew to the International Space Station via Dragon spacecraft. Musk is now spearheading a campaign to ‘Kill the Bill’. The Big Beautiful Bill has passed the House and could be stopped in the Senate with just four Republican refusals. Never miss another post from SalestorrsNews150. - Quick commerce apps to start delivering electronics, white goods by Diwali | Salestors.com
< Back Quick commerce apps to start delivering electronics, white goods by Diwali 18 Jun 2024 By Diwali, quick commerce apps like BBNow, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and Zomato’s Blinkit plan to start selling electronics and appliances in 10-45 minutes. As companies experience up to 45% sales through quick commerce, electronics brands are also partnering with quick commerce apps. Tata’s Croma is partnering with BBNow to sell smartphones. If apps can offer exchanges and EMI buying options demanded by customers, this will be a significant revenue stream. These products are expected to bring in much more revenue and enhance customer stickiness than other products bought on these apps. However, for large appliances, these apps will sell only 4-5 top-selling models or the ones in high demand, as per customer reviews, and not as wide a range as Amazon or Flipkart. Big appliances will consume larger warehousing spaces and four-wheeler deliveries. Blinkit ran a pilot selling iPhone for a limited period last year. Havells sold air coolers and fans in a pilot program this year. Q-commerce apps also sell small products like Bluetooth speakers, smartwatches, fans, and steam irons. Previous Next

Stalin to discuss EV and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicle production at its old Maraimalai Nagar plant just outside Chennai. Talks of its return erupted in the market after Ford India filed for a design patent for the new Endeavour model, its bestselling product in the country. After its exit, several OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) showed interest in acquiring the plant, but nothing was finalised.
