Most Apple products, like Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro, are excluded from global reciprocal tariffs announced by the Trump administration in April. < Back Delhi skies may witness air taxis by 2026 20 Apr 2024 Archer Aviation plans to launch air taxis to cover the distance between Connaught Place, Delhi, and Gurugram in seven minutes for ₹3,000. Besides the US and UAE, Archer Aviation plans to launch air taxis in India by 2026. It partnered with InterGlobe Enterprises, the owner of IndiGo Airlines, and intends to replicate its model of achieving economies of scale with higher trip volumes and lower costs. Its air taxis, or electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) can take off and land vertically unlike helicopters. Moreover, being electric, it produces lesser emissions and noise. A way-way trip between Connaught Place and Gurugram will take seven minutes and is expected to cost ₹3,000, that is five times a cab ride. It will launch the service in Mumbai and Bengaluru after Delhi-Gurugram. Archer Aviation is in discussions with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to secure permissions. The Unified Code for Pharma Marketing Practices (UCPMP) prohibits pharmaceutical companies from bribing doctors with paid foreign trips and hospitality stays, personal gifts for them and family members, monetary gifts for doctors, agents or distributors, or any cash payments or grants for doctors and their family members. It mandates that individual companies disclose any sponsorships for conferences and medical courses. However, there is no portal setup to report this. Industry experts believe this Code will be less effective since it is non-statutory and not enforced by a regulatory authority. It is not a law, and players in the Indian pharmaceutical industry will easily beat around it to incentivise medical professionals. Pharma associations need to form an ethics committee and create a portal linked to the pharma department, which will house an independent panel to audit such expenses. Les pays déploient les satellites dans orbite terrestre pour rivaliser et pour des applications militaires. Le lancement s’appelle Thousand Miles Constellation ou G60 Starlink Plan. C’était commencé l’année dernière et prévoit de déployer plus de 15 000 satellites à basse altitude d’ici 2030. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch an autonomous body, Mera Yuva Bharat, on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary on October 31st. The Union Cabinet approved the establishment earlier this month. Its website, called MYBharat, will be a platform to connect ministries with the Indian youth. It aims to enable youth between 15 and 29 years of age to learn social innovation and leadership skills through experiential learning. It will focus on programmatic skills instead of isolated physical interaction. The initiative seeks to harness youth’s energy in nation-building. Creating a centralized youth database will offer access to resources and opportunities. It will build a physical-digital ecosystem to empower youth and help them be a bridge between the government and other citizens.
