Les employés recevront un salaire élevé de 40 % pour le sixième jour travaillé. L’augmentation sera 115 % si celui-ci tombe un jour férié ou un dimanche. Cette loi s’applique aux entreprises privées qui fonctionnant en continu 24 heures sur 24, sept jours sur sept. < Back Amidst stringent rules, deepfakes available for ₹8 per video in India 12 Feb 2024 In 2023, deepfakes rose 550% to around 96,000 cases, making India the 6th most vulnerable country. Deepfakes use deep generative methods to create videos and voice calls artificially. Companies like The Indian Deepfaker offer deepfake-as-a-service. In India, it is available for just ₹8 per video compared to ₹25 in Japan or the US. Many political parties use deepfake videos and voice calls to engage their party workers in a personalised chat. However, their usage by cybercriminals has increased by 230%. As per Rule 3(2)(b) of the Information Technology Act (IT Act), in November 2023, the government directed social media companies to remove fake content from their platform within 24 hours of a complaint being filed. Section 66D of the same Act cites imprisonment of up to three years and a fine of ₹1 lakh as a punishment for impersonating someone using computer technology. Besides, Sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code cover defamation. A user can file a complaint for a deepfake video intentionally created to defame them through impersonation. Previous Next

The company dominates the market for chips used for training and running generative AI models. ChatGPT is one such model. It saw a spike in sales of its graphic cards in 2020 when consumers rushed to mine their bitcoins. Its Taiwanese owner, Jansen Huang’s popularity burgeoned along with his company. The company’s market capitalisation jumped from $1.21 trillion on January 6th this year to $3.34 this week. Nvidia provides Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to cloud service providers to train and run AI applications. It serves over 20,000 startups and established conglomerates like Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet. Nvidia offers the Blackwell platform, which facilitates real-time generative AI on large language models at 25 times less cost and energy consumption than the last platform. Jio is set to launch AirFiber on September 19, 2023. It is a personal hotspot device offering lightning fast internet speed without the need for any optical fibre wiring. It is a portable Wi-Fi powered by ultra fast True 5G internet. The telco is also developing 6G capabilities and will be among the pioneers worldwide to offer this upgrade. This move comes after Airtel recently launched its own AirFiber on August 7. Jio aims to expand its market from 50 million users of 5G to 200 million high-paying households. AirFiber will allow it to complete 150,000 connections daily from the 15,000 connections optical fibre currently achieves. Jio 5G adds one cell to its network every 10 seconds and is present in 96% of the census towns in India. < Back Rupee crosses 90 per dollar for the first time 3 Dec 2025 The Indo-US trade deal, stuck in limbo, is believed to be the primary cause for the decline. The rupee slide had been building up for weeks, but the speed of the decline caught the Indian market off guard. The RBI is believed to have stepped in to calm the volatility. INR has dropped 5.3% this year, its sharpest annual fall since 2022. Major factors causing the decline are believed to be: Weakening foreign investment portfolio flow Indo-US trade deal not moving forward A global shift towards the dollar. Foreign investors have pulled out $17 billion from the Indian stock market this year, and the net FDI and overseas commercial borrowings have been weak. The GDP is growing speedily, but so is the trade deficit. The GDP growth rate is at a six-quarter high, but the trade deficit is steeper due to 50% US import tariffs. < Back Starlink launches satellite internet in 9 stations across India 24 Oct 2025 Noida, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Hyderabad are among the first cities to receive internet access. Starlink will establish gateway earth stations in 9 Indian cities to launch its satellite internet services. It applied for 600 Gbps capacity via its Gen 1 satellite constellation. The Department of Telecommunications provisionally assigned spectrum to Starlink for service demos. It hasn’t yet been granted the license for commercial operations. Only Indian nationals will initially be given access to operate the gateway stations. The demo data will be stored in India, and fortnightly reports will be submitted to DoT and security agencies. Starlink terminals in Manipur and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands were previously misused, prompting the government to be more cautious about its rollout. Once cleared, its commercial services will offer broadband via Low Earth Orbit Satellites, covering remote locations across India. < Back Flipkart to launch its quick commerce service despite failed talks with Zepto 19 Apr 2024 Like the failed discussions with Dunzo, its talks with Zepto are unlikely to be revived. Flipkart reduced its delivery timelines and launched same-day deliveries at no extra cost in February. It launched the service in 20 cities, including tier 2 cities like Guwahati and Ludhiana and metros like Bengaluru and Delhi. It also runs Flipkart Quick, a 90-120-minute delivery service for fruits and vegetables in some cities. Zepto and Blinkit are adding new stock-keeping units to cross 10,000 units across India. They are also venturing into eCommerce by tying up with apparel brands like Adidas, Jockey, Manyavar, and Pepe Jeans. Flipkart failed to buy an established quick commerce service like Dunzo and now Zepto. Still, it plans to launch its own service this year by setting up thousands of dark stores nationwide. < Back Recipient-initiated transactions to stop from Oct 1 13 Aug 2025 The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will shut down pull transactions to curb fraud. UPI payments work two ways. The ‘push’ system allows users to scan a QR code or input the recipient’s ID and make the payment. Via the ‘pull’ transactions, or ‘collect’ requests, the recipient generates the QR code with the payment amount fed in, and the user inputs their PIN to approve the payment. In 2019, the NPCI had capped the recipient-initiated ‘pull’ transactions at ₹2,000. At most, 50 such transactions are allowed in a day. These will be stopped altogether from October 1 st . India recorded 7 billion Person-to-Person (P2P) transactions in July, with 19.4 billion transactions recorded by NPCI overall. A year ago, the figure stood at 14 billion transactions overall, of which 5 billion were P2P. Several fraudsters pose as merchants to extract money from customers. RBI data reports 29,000 frauds occurred in FY2025 worth ₹1,457 crore. In FY2024, only 12,516 fraud cases worth ₹520 crore were reported. Never miss another post from SalestorsNews150. < Back More D2C brands launch quick delivery in metros 11 Oct 2024 Nykaa launched the 10-minute delivery pilot program in Borivali, Mumbai, and Licious rolled it out in Gurugram. Joining the instant gratification bandwagon, Nykaa launched 10-minute deliveries in Mumbai. While it strives to expand to more pin codes within the city, it may do so under a separate brand name. Beauty products like kajal pens, foundation creams, and daily skincare are among the top-selling and fastest-growing segments on q-commerce apps. Bengaluru-based online meat shop Licious started with one-to-two-hour deliveries and reduced them to 15-30-minute supplies in Gurugram. It often delivers ahead of time and is looking to reduce it further depending on order density. Flipkart launched Minutes service in NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, and Amazon is set to introduce a similar offering. Swiggy started a 10-minute food delivery service called Bolt last week, motivating Zomato to bring back its 10-minute service from quick-service restaurants and cafes. < Back Google Pay to expand UPI services for int’l travellers 18 Jan 2024 Google has signed an MoU with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to expand UPI payment services for Indians travelling abroad. Google India Digital Services signed an MoU with NPCI so Google Pay can offer UPI services to Indians travelling abroad. The agreement also allows Google to develop a UPI-like system in other countries to facilitate seamless transactions. The partnership will allow foreign remittances to other countries easier through UPI. It will promote UPI services worldwide and enable global brands to access Indian buyers who are currently restricted to credit and forex cards and foreign currency. It will also allow foreign nationals travelling to India to pay easily through Google Pay’s UPI. In Jan 2023, NPCI extended UPI services to mobile numbers from ten countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Singapore, UAE, Qatar, Australia, Hong Kong, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Non-resident accounts like NRO and NRE linked to international mobile numbers from these countries can transact with UPI. PhonePe also started supporting UPI transactions in Singapore, UAE, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mauritius. Previous Next
