- India’s 1st hydrogen train to undergo final trial in early 2025 | Salestors.com
< Back India’s 1st hydrogen train to undergo final trial in early 2025 30 Dec 2024 It is the first large-scale attempt worldwide to use hydrogen as a fuel for trains. The Research, Design, and Standard Organisation (RDSO), an Indian Railways wing, designed and released the model in December 2021. During the International Innovative Rail Expo in Lucknow, it was named NaMo Green Rail. However, an official name has yet to be decided. The train is scheduled for a final trial between Jind and Sonipat stations in Haryana in the first quarter of 2025, and operations will begin thereafter. Integration is being done at Chennai's Integral Coach Factory (ICF). The train will have 8 coaches and a capacity of 2,638 passengers. Its maximum speed will be 110 km/hour. Three additional coaches will store hydrogen cylinders and integrated fuel cell converters, air reservoirs, and batteries. It will be deployed on short distances. Hydrogen is used globally as a sustainable fuel in road transport, but its usage in rail transport hasn’t seen much success. The performance of NaMo Green Rail could be groundbreaking. Previous Next
- IT industry and AI, limited by unlimited liability | Salestors.com
< Back IT industry and AI, limited by unlimited liability 2 Jun 2025 Clients demand that IT firms take full liability for all mistakes their AI systems make. AI works probabilistically, which makes its outcomes unpredictable. More businesses expect global IT firms to include an ‘unlimited liability’ clause in their contracts to protect themselves against potential errors and resulting outcomes, and to negotiate more favourable agreements. IT firms are hesitant because of the fear of enormous financial repercussions. This is leading to prolonged or cancelled deals. A customer sued Air Canada after its chatbot produced misleading information, which went against the airline's policy. Lawyers representing Anthropic, an AI firm, apologised to a US Federal Court for an erroneous citation by their LLM, Claude. Reportedly, a prominent Indian IT firm walked away from the deal with a European Bank on the same grounds. Usually, IT operations and software development are considered low risk, and their contracts do not include unlimited liability clauses. In more regulated sectors, like insurance and energy, liability is capped at a percentage of contract value. Never miss another post from SalestorrsNews150. - ChatGPT’s Sora: The text-to-video conversion AI tool | Salestors.com
< Back ChatGPT’s Sora: The text-to-video conversion AI tool 26 Feb 2024 Sora uses your texts to understand your video requirements. It can create videos of varying lengths, sizes, and shapes. OpenAI launched a text-to-video generator, Sora, in early February. It uses a diffusion model to break down your text input and create a video. It can generate complex scenes with multiple characters, varied backgrounds, and motions. The tool shows an advanced understanding of how things exist naturally and their physical behaviour. It can also understand human language and create characters showing specified emotions. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, invited several social media professionals to try out the new app, and the responses were ecstatic. The videos seemed real-life-like. But this also raised several issues about the societal implications of this technology. Currently, Sora is mainly available for Red Teamers, the cybersecurity professionals who act as enemies to assess the associated risks. Many designers, filmmakers, and visual artists are also given access to try out Sora. Meta and Google are working on similar tools. Previous Next
Previous Next
- New cab hailing startups offering better incentives to drivers | Salestors.com
< Back New cab hailing startups offering better incentives to drivers 13 Mar 2024 Rapido levies a subscription fee, and inDrive charges a 10-12% commission compared to Uber and Ola’s 25-30%. Competition from new startups is forcing established ride hailing companies to lower their commission structures for drivers. Rapido bike taxi, backed by Swiggy, scrapped its commission model to introduce a subscription fee for cab and auto drivers. This amounts to ₹9-29 per day. California-headquartered inDrive charges a 10-12% commission, less than half that of Uber and Ola’s 25-30% fee. Namma Yatri, backed by ONDC, offers its Software as a Service (SaaS) to auto drivers for ₹25 per day or ₹3.5 per trip for up to ten rides and free of cost afterwards. This works as a loyalty programme and lures drivers to spend more time on the app to get more rides and an ROI on the daily fees. Uber launched the Uber Pro programme, offering drivers milestones-linked benefits like cheaper vehicle maintenance, motor insurance, area preference, and micro-credit offerings. It also reduced its peak-hour commission by 5-7% to incentivise drivers. Previous Next
- Startups turn to Digilocker verification after govt crackdown | Salestors.com
< Back Startups turn to Digilocker verification after govt crackdown 17 Jul 2025 Startups previously relied on Aadhaar authentication apps to verify gig workers, but this changed in January. Companies in e-commerce, ride-hailing, and food delivery often struggle to verify gig workers, such as delivery personnel, using Aadhaar-based eKYC. In January, the government mandated ministry approval for accessing the government database for Aadhaar authentication. After approval, companies could access the government’s Aadhaar database via Protean eGov Technologies. Protean eGov processes around 12 lakh eKYC transactions daily. It handled 56 crore verifications in FY2025 alone. In June, the Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity) and UIDAI targeted the unauthorised use of Aadhaar onboarding tools and blocked verification websites like Surepass, Digitap, and Zoop. The move also impacted startups and companies in the fintech and lending sectors. They turned to Digilocker-based Aadhaar verification tools for governmental compliance. Verification platforms like Idfy are assisting e-commerce companies with legal methods of validation and onboarding. The UIDAI will introduce QR codes and PDFs for safer verification, replacing the use of XML files. Never miss another post from SalestorrsNews150. - RBI raises prepaid mobility cards limit to up to ₹3,000 without KYC | Salestors.com
< Back RBI raises prepaid mobility cards limit to up to ₹3,000 without KYC 18 Mar 2024 The National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) can now be issued with a limit of up to up to ₹3,000 with no KYC. The Reserve Bank of India relaxed KYC norms for the mobility cards. NCMCs are debit, credit and prepaid cards issued by over 25 partner banks and RuPay. These open-loop cards allow commuters to pay for transport systems like metros, road toll and parking plazas, buses, suburban railways, and fuel stations across India. Users can use an NCMC to withdraw money and make online retail payments. It permits offline payments for low-value transactions. The Near Field Communication (NFC) technology facilitates tap-and-go payments. Due to stringent KYC norms, the card saw limited usage, with only 200 million people getting the NCMCs since its launch on March 4th, 2019. The government tried replicating London’s Oyster card or Hong Kong’s Octopus Cards through the ‘One Nation, One Card’ initiative. However, the scattered transportation system and the RBI ban on Paytm Payments Bank, one of the key players issuing NCMCs, made implementing it challenging. Previous Next

- China to participate in Bharat Mobility Expo after 5 years | Salestors.com
< Back China to participate in Bharat Mobility Expo after 5 years 15 Jan 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is the nation’s biggest motor show. 40 new products are expected to launch this year. Indo-Chinese ties worsened in early 2020 after a border clash and visa misuse by Chinese executives. India banned many Chinese apps, including TikTok and Shein. Chinese automakers like JSW MG Motor and BYD couldn’t attend the mobility show. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been working on resolving border tensions. It granted a no objection in principle, allowing China to participate. The government started granting visas to Chinese technical professionals working with companies that secured approvals under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. China is among the global leaders in EV technology and battery manufacturing. India imports up to 30% of its auto part imports from China. In FY2024, India bought around $6 billion worth of Chinese components. EV sales may surge from 100,000 units sold in 2024 to double in the next two years. 15-20 EVs, including the luxury segment, could be launched this year. Previous Next
